About the Staff
Thomas Livingstone, Jr., D.M.D.
Tod, a.k.a, “Dr. Toad,” is a 1975 graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dental Medicine. He originally opened his office in Kent, Connecticut and practiced there full-time for 11 years. In 1985, he opened a satellite office with a total emphasis on holistic dental care in Canaan, Connecticut. As a result of the tremendous response to this approach from the people in the greater Canaan area, Tod decided to sell his Kent practice and concentrate full-time on holistic dental care in Canaan. He currently lives in Sheffield, Massachusetts. His outside interests include motorcycling, fishing, camping, hiking, scuba diving, reading, gourmet cooking, bowling, snow skiing, and sports car racing.
Tanya Lea Brown, Receptionist
Tanya is our smiling, friendly receptionist and the person most likely to greet you when you call or come to the office. She is a 1989 graduate of Housatonic Valley Regional High School. She lived in Florida for four years prior to moving back to the Canaan area after her first child was born. She loves going to the beach, shopping and playing with her two children and two adorable pugs.
Wendy Marie Korte, Dental Assistant
Wendy is our warm, caring dental assistant and “Dr. Toad’s” right hand. She was trained on the job and has been involved in dentistry on and off since 1994. She loves her job and has been interested in dentistry since childhood. She lives in Burrville with her husband, three little girls and many loved pets. In her spare time (of which there is very little) she enjoys shopping, baking, singing and dancing, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
Lynn McManamy, R.D.H.
We are pleased to welcome Lynn McManamy as our full time Dental Hygienist. Lynn has had a full career working for several prominent dentists in the Greater Hartford area. She is a graduate of Tunxis Community College and the University of Connecticut with an A.S. degree in Science. She lives in the Barkhamsted area with her husband and their 3 children. When she is not cleaning teeth or educating people about good dental care she is behind a camera taking digital photographs. She shows her photography at Art and Crafts fairs throughout New England and is currently working on developing a portfolio of historic landmarks in and around Litchfield County. She also enjoys reading and traveling with her family.
